A big thank you to fellow author Roslyn McFarland for giving me feedback on the blurb. I’d only reworked it about a thousand times, but still Ros was able to help me make it clearer.

thanks so much Annika. much appreciated. so pleased you like the blurb. best of luck with creating a blurb for your next book. i worked on my blurb on and off for many months. such a hard task. i know lots of people who get the cleaning bug at those moments. i tend to get myself to a cafe and hang out with my pen and notebook. as you know, words on the page. then rewrite, rewrite, rewrite, into eternity 🙂

Love the cover art. Very different to the Bondi I remember from the early 80s. My father picked me up and carried me at one point when walking because the sand was thick with used needles, broken beer bottles, and condoms. We switched beaches to Maroubra after that which want as bad. I used to call it ‘my ruby bra’ and thought I was ever so rude.

thanks Jacqui. yes, Ros was a stroke of luck and serendipity just last week. i had the blurb with me when i met her for the first time over a coffee and courageously asked if she’d read my blurb. we’d been in correspondence through Facebook messenger. i’d given her information about a couple of writing matters. such a good two-way connection.
